National Meet Information

This coming Saturday is the last day to register for the September VCOA national meet in Hickory, North Carolina (September 9-11). See the latest eRolling email or any of the last two editions of the Rolling magazine for enrollment information.

Members may participate in the full 3-day event or just the 1-day (Saturday) car show. Special hotel rates for 3 area hotels have been arranged by the national organization, and are quite reasonable. This is a beautiful area to host such an event, making it a great setting to showcase a great car maker.

For more information, visit the Volvo Club of America homepage for all the details. We are looking forward to seeing a good showing from the Coast Virginia group.

If you have questions, please email our club President.

“Cars & Coffee” – July 2022

The second “Cars & Coffee” took place in the beautiful little town of Gloucester, VA – just over the Coleman Bridge. “Egghead’s Diner” played host to this new monthly event, offering great breakfast fare while attendees caught up with club regulars, and introduced themselves to new attendees.

This social gathering served as the second in a new monthly event hosted by the Coastal Virginia Volvo group, welcoming both members and non-members for a casual meal, social time, and a little “car talk”. July proved a hit, with an attendance 3-times greater than the inaugural gathering, which took place in June. We look forward to continuing this monthly experience, and hope members will attend as often as they are able. It’s a fantastic way to casually get to know others. Be sure to follow us on FaceBook to get the details and location of our next “Cars and Coffee”.

Inaugural Business Meeting: May 2022

The Coastal Chapter gets its official start.

Saturday, May 21st will certainly be a day to remember in the history books of this organization. It marks the official beginning of the Coastal Chapter of the Volvo Club of America. Eight dedicated Volvo enthusiasts, led by President, Chuck Fiedler, met to discuss the structure of the group, plans for events, and much more.

Meetings are tentatively slated to occur bi-monthly, “Cars & Coffee” events to happen monthly, and plans for road events (including a Poker Run, and a possible visit to the Volvo plant in So. Carolina are all on the table as possibilities for 2022).
